2008 Tatomer Riesling Vandenberg

"The 2008 Riesling Vandenberg (named for the famous air force base near the town of Lompoc, California) exhibits dry, crisp. pear, apple skin and nectarine notes, fresh, zesty, steely minerality, and a long finish. It is a good-sized Riesling at 13.5% alcohol, but very elegant and stylish.

This is a new project dedicated to producing dry, crisp, flavorful Rieslings in a style that used to be common in Alsace, France. For Riesling fans, this will be an interesting operation to follow. The first releases are certainly impressive."
